Laura Robson was beaten today in her Wimbledon senior debut 3-6 6-4 6-2 by Daniela Hantuchova. She led during the first set and a half and even had a break in the second set against Hantuchova to lead 3-2. Some unforced errors and double faults cost Laura dearly though and she found herself losing confidence and consequently, points. Hantuchova took the second set and then set up a commanding lead in the third to finally win 3-6 6-4 6-2.
Laura’s play in the first set and a half was extremely good though, and it really looked like she could win the match at times! She’ll be back next week to defend her Junior Title.
